ADACS Macquarie Node

The Macquarie University node of Astronomy Data and Computing Services (ADACS) is delivered by AAO’s Research Data and Software (RDS) team.

Building on decades of expertise in astronomical software and data engineering, the team develops and supports tools that enable researchers to maximise the scientific return from their data. As custodians of Data Central, a national-scale e-research platform and archive, the Macquarie node provides secure, interoperable, and scalable solutions for managing large and complex datasets.

Through ADACS, the RDS team offers specialised support in optical data management, software development, and collaborative infrastructure for the astronomy community and beyond.

By partnering with fellow ADACS nodes at Swinburne and Curtin, the Macquarie node ensures that Australian researchers benefit from world-class training, software solutions, and data services that address both today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities.
